Carnegie Challenge 2012

The Carnegie UK Trust is delighted to offer support for public debates run by not-for-profit organisations in 2012.

The Trust is inviting applications from event organisers to bring together high calibre debate conveners and panel members for “Carnegie Challenge” debates.  The funds will be available to meet the expenses of those taking part. These debates should form part of a programme of a planned event or conference. 

This is the second year that the Trust has been able to support events and up to ten organisations will be selected from those who apply.  Applicants should to demonstrate how their event is in keeping with the Trust’s strategic remit to improving the lives and wellbeing of people across the UK and Ireland.  Organisations will also receive professional advice and support as part of the Carnegie Challenge agreement.

Deadlines for submissions:

30th November  2011 –  for events taking place January - April 2012
30th March 2012  – for events taking place May – August 2012
31st July 2012 – events taking place September – December 2012

 

Carnegie Challenge Debates

TheTrust supported the KAFKA Brigade and The University of Cardiff to host a conference that brought together key public sector and policy officials to discuss the future of public services in Wales.  The conference took place on Thursday 9th February 2012.  For more information, please click here
